Down the Stairs!

This is probably the toughest test yet I’m just gonna knock it off the table straight onto a concrete floor from about 3ft, I’m gonna get the dustpan and brush ready.no need, its got a little bit of a mark on it there, oh at the top there is got a little bit of a chip there. not bad.

One of the concerns that people have about oil candles is what happens when you knock them over and so I’m just gonna demonstrate that when you do knock them over, they just go out.

Knocking a candle with spill proof wick over

Ok I’m gonna show you what happens when you knock over one of our candles that has the spill proof wick on it which is the alfa we have here and also on the cube so here goes. So, fuel doesn’t come out apart from maybe a drop or two umm and the candle can usually burn quietly until you pick it up again. Now there it goes out.

How safe is the fuel?
This film shows what happens if a candle is knocked over but doesn't go out.
I set this situation up to show what might happen If a wick comes out of a candle and it doesn’t go out witch of course ninety-nine times out of a hundred it will so it just sits on the deck there and it burns quietly its pretty much just absorbing the fuel because of course the wick wont really burn without fuel so I’m even gonna try to pour a bit more fuel down here there you go now the flame doesn’t really come into contact with the fuel because of the way it sits and the um bottom part of the flame here is quite cool so it never ignites the paraffin because as I said it wont burn without a wick
