The brass wick holder is secured in place by a rubber O-ring, which helps prevent lamp oil escaping if the candle is accidentally knocked over.
Of course, the Cube’s substantial glass construction and stable shape make it unlikely to topple in normal use, but it’s reassuring to know that this additional feature is there.
